HOLY
FAMILY TRIP TO EGYPT

1ST
Day
Arrival at Cairo Airport, meet and assist by Amosis
Tours representatives, transfer to the hotel.
2ND
Day
Transfer
from Cairo to Al-Arish visit Farma which is
the first step for The Holy Family
(Overnight Al-Arish).
3RD
Day
Transfer from Al-Arish to Tal Basta “In this town,
Jesus Christ caused water to flow from a spring, by then
the town was full of IDOLS, and upon entry of The Holy
Family into that town, all these IDOLS fell down to the
ground. So, the town inhabitants ill treated The Holy
Family, that accordingly turned its back on that town, and
proceeded southward “.
Then visit Samanoud “In this town, there is a large
round tub made of Granite, alleged to have been used by
Virgin Mary in doughing, in the course of her presence
there. There is also a water spring being blessed by Jesus
Christ himself “.
Then to Sacha “ At that town, the foot of Jesus
Christ manifested itself on a stone, from which the town was
given its name in the Coptic Language. However, this stone
was hidden for a long time for fear of being exposed to
larceny (This stone has been subsequently excavated since
only about 13 years ago). Overnight Cairo.
4TH
Day
Visit Wadi El Natrun whose presence seemed to have
blessed the place, for it became the site of many
Monasteries more than fifty of which only four are inhabited
to-day.
5th
Day
Visit Al Mehma “The
word Al Mema is a site where baths would be taken, and that
town was given such name due to the fact that Virgin Mary
bathed Jesus Christ and washed his clothes there. On its way
back, The Holy Family passed once more, by Mostorod and
Jesus Christ caused water to flow out from a spring, which
is still existing there, till to date “.
Belbeis There, The Holy Family sat in the shadow of a
tree, which was subsequently called the tree of Virgin Mary.
On its way back home, The Holy family passed once more by
Belbeis.
Mattaria, The Holy Family sat in the shadow of a
tree, being named till to date Virgin Mary’s tree. Our
Lord Jesus caused water to flow out from a spring; and drank
from its water, which was blessed by Him. Thereafter, Virgin
Mary washed the clothes of the infant Jesus with its water,
and then poured that water into the ground nearby.
A
fragrant sweet-smelling plant sprouted at that location;
this plant is well known as balm (i.e. balsem) or elderberry
.It is added to various kinds of perfumes and aromatics and
of which the chrism sancitified oil is being processed.
Old
Cairo, Visit church of
Old
Cairo “ The area of old Cairo is considered one of the
most important location and terminals where The Holy Family
settled, on its journey while traversing within the land of
Egypt. It has numerous churches and convents. However, The
Holy Family did only stay in it for a few days owing to the
demolition of IDOLS; and as a consequence of which the
governor of Fustat was so infuriated that he attempted to
kill the infant.
Jesus
visit Maadi: The Holy Family set ail on board a sailing ship
heading towards the south (Upper Egypt); starting from the
spot, on which there is constructed at present, Virgin
Mary’s church, known as Al Adaweya (due to the fact at The
Holy Family crossed the Nile from that point, on its journey
to Upper Egypt).
(The
Arabic word Maadi has been derived from the Arabic verb
“Ada “ (i.e.crossed or traversed) pertaining to their
crossing of the Nile, by The Holy Family from that spot,
previously referred to)- Actually, the stone staircase, on
which The Holy Family descended to the Nile bank, is still
existent there; and is regarded as a sanctuary, which is
being visited through the church courtyard.one of the
wonderful incidents that took place along side the river
bank near this church, being that on friday of Barmahat the
3rd ,corresponding to March 12th 1976
A.D.,the holy bible was found open at the book of the
prophet Isaiah,onto chapter 19” blessed be Egypt my people
“ floating on surface of the Nile water facing the church.
The
Holy Family quits southward to the towns of
Upper
Egypt/Southern Egypt-Overnight Cairo.
6th
Day
Travel from Cairo to south to visit
Dair
El Garnous Village where there is a deep well from whose
water The Holy Family is said to have drunk-pursuant to what
is traditionally claimed passing by Bahnassa
visit.
Gabal
Al Tair “ There The Holy Family passed by a tall lebbek (a
laurel tree), at a distance of 2 km to the south of Gabal Al
Tair, close to the pathway in the vicinity of the Nile; and
the mount leading to Nazlet Ebeid, down to new Minia
bridge.it is claimed that this tree bowed down in prayer to
our Lord Jesus, and we notice that all branches of that tree
are bending downwards and thereafter shooting upward once
more with their green leaves.This tree is called Al Abed
Tree)
Al
Ashmounein “ In this town a lot of surprising incidents
came to pass; as its IDOLS fell down to the ground; and The
Holy Family bestowed its blessings on Ashmounein-Overnight
Kossia.
7th
Day
Visit Kossia (Kasskam village in which the IDOLS,
worshipped by its people fell down to the ground and was
smashed. Accordingly, the village inhabitants kicked them
out of the town, which was subsequently devastated-visit.
Mair, visit Meharak Monastery where The Holy Family stayed
there for about six months and ten days, in the cavern that
has become subsequently an itar of Virgin Mary’s ancient
church, located on the western side of the Monastery.

The
altar of this church is as large stone, on which the infant
Jesus used to sit. In this Monastery, God’s angel came up
to Joseph, the old man, in a dream saying: “Rise, take the
child and his mother and go to the land of Israel; for those
who sought the child’s life are dead “(mat 2:20). –

Then visit Mount Duronka on there way back, they
followed another track, that made them aware a little to the
south and thus arriving at mount Assiut (known as mount
Duronka); and The Holy Family bestowed its blessings on it
–return to Cairo-Overnight Cairo.
8th
Day
Visit Egyptian Museum, Pyramids of Giza and
Sphinx-Overnight Cairo.
9th
Day
Free-Overnight Cairo.
10th
Day
Transfer to Cairo Airport for final departure
assistance by Amosis Tours representative through
formalities.
